About Kickwheel Sonoma
Kickwheel Sonoma is a community-centered ceramics studio located in a historic barn in Petaluma, California. Founded in 2020, the studio emerged from a vision to create a welcoming, accessible space where people could come together through clay. Since opening, it has grown into a vibrant hub for classes, workshops, and studio memberships rooted in both technical learning and creative exploration.
What began as a small, intimate teaching practice has steadily expanded alongside a growing community of “clay people”—artists, students, and makers who return not only for instruction, but for the sense of connection the studio fosters. Today, Kickwheel continues to evolve with ambitious plans to deepen its offerings, expand its space, and further support a thriving, ceramics community built around experimentation, craft, and shared making.
