The suggested materials contribution is $15 per gathering and helps cover art supplies, bookbinding materials, and workshop preparation.
To make these gatherings as accessible as possible, I offer a community-supported sliding scale:
- Community Rate: Add $0 (a $10 materials contribution)
- Suggested Contribution: Add $5 to your registration to help cover the cost of materials. (a $15 materials contribution)
- Supporter Contribution: Add $10 to your registration. This extra support helps sustain creative gatherings and makes space for more people to participate (a $20 materials contribution)
- Pay It Forward: Add $15 to your registration if you're able. Your additional generosity helps offset material costs and supports keeping these gatherings accessible for others. (a $25 materials contribution)
Most importantly, your presence matters more than the price. If the materials contribution is a barrier, please reach out. I'd much rather find a way to welcome you than have you miss out. Creativity is richer when it's shared, and everyone deserves a place at the table.
Series Description
Each gathering introduces a new creative ritual: a simple practice that takes just 5–15 minutes and can be done anywhere, with whatever materials you have on hand. Together we'll experiment, laugh, make things, share stories, and enjoy the kind of creative time that's often hard to carve out on our own. Think of it like a standing invitation to make time for yourself. There is no right or wrong way to participate. Together we will allow it to be simple, and playful!
Come for one evening or join us for all three. Every gathering is complete on its own, so you can jump in whenever it works for your schedule. Bring your curiosity, a willingness to try and make something alongside others.
If you return for all three gatherings, something special begins to unfold. Your sketchbook grows one hand-stitched signature at a time, becoming a collection of your observations, ideas, and experiences from the summer! You'll also build a library of creative rituals to carry into everyday life and get to know a community of curious people who are returning alongside you. Every familiar face adds to the experience, and every gathering becomes a little richer because you chose to show up.
Between meet-ups, you'll receive a short email with some encouragement to add to your sketchbook, and a creative ritual to explore during the week—low-stakes invitations to keep noticing, collecting, and growing until we gather again.
Registration:
While drop-ins are always welcome, registering in advance helps us prepare enough materials and create a comfortable space for everyone.
If you know you're planning to join us, we'd love for you to save your spot or send a quick RSVP. It helps us gather supplies, set up the room, and welcome you well.
Life happens, though, and plans change. If you decide to join at the last minute, please come anyway. Materials fees can be paid when you arrive, and you'll be warmly welcomed whether it's your first gathering or your third.
